I'm a Newbie

So this is my very first post, even though I started this blog like about 10000 years ago. I don't really know why I haven't written anything yet, but I guess I was just too darn lazy to write anything about my life. I'm also not that old and only at the sweet age of 19, so in my eyes I haven't experienced anything big.......yet!
But now, a month after graduation I kinda have the urge to write on this blog. It's rather random that I'm starting it right now, but let's see how it goes!

So as I already said I'm 19 years old and another fact of my life is that I'm half German and half American. I'm sorry in advance if one post is in German gibberish and the next in English -- please don't be mad and just go with it!

In four days I will be experiencing a very exciting trip. I will be flying to the East coast, Philadelphia to be correct, to visit family in New Jersey. I will be staying with my mom's cousins family, who are loving and warm people. After my stay with them I will be going to NEW YORK CITY (EEEEEEEEEEEK -- sooo excited!!) and will let the concrete jungle turn me into a city animal. A friend, who I've only known for circa 2 months, is going to accompany me to NYC. She has been studying abroad in Venice for the past 5 months and visited us for 10 days over easter. It was a wonderful time while she was here and I can say that we have made a great new family friend. 
After my stay in NYC I will be flying to South Dakota to visit the other part of my family there. Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, Greatuncle and Aunt and friends will be friendly faces, who I can't wait to see again. My last stay in South Dakota was about 9 months ago. And no, this isn't a very long time...but I still can't wait to have my family and friends, who live about 3000 miles away, so close to me again. 
I guess that this will be all for now -- my next post will be from the US. Can't wait!
